I enjoyed the book quite a bit. Her descriptions of the ambiance and architecture made me crave experiencing it all for myself. I did think at times the author was whiny, and the book seemed to be more an exploration of her relationship with her mother at times. She never quite clicked with her mother, the way she felt she never clicked with the city...does that make sense? How many times have you been to Paris so far (3 times??)
