Hello Payday...

Goodbye money. It was nice to see you for a short time, but I kind of already "spent" you in NYC. I was a bad PF girl and used my credit card and now need to pay it off quickly. My entire trip cost me just under $1500 (and by "just under" I emphasize the just). I put $600 onto my credit card before I left (which cleared other charges --hence why my MISC is payed off) and I paid my friend $470 for the hotel, Britney Spears tickets and US exchange rate! So although the NYC progress bar is new, the MISC one is paid in full so the total amount owing on my VISA stays the same. Like I said before, I don't regret one minute of that trip and just need to stay focused and frugal for the next few months.
What will make frugality easier is that I am in four courses right now and my goal is to have all four finished by June (doesn't sound hard but bear in mind I work full time too and two of my courses are 6 credit courses so my four courses actually equals six ...can I say courses one more time???). Yesterday I wrote a midterm for one of the courses (I knew I could say it again!) and I am relieved to be able to cross another task off of my list. I have to write a paper this weekend and one of the courses will be completed -- taking me down to three (or five if you follow my logic). This should keep me busy and my hands out of the money cookie jar.

I also need to do my taxes this weekend. I hope I have a return instead of owing. I have never owed and being a student should keep it that way. *knocks on wood*

Will update my loan progress tomorrow as it is automatically taken out of my account. I am also thinking about setting up a progress bar for my RRSPs even though I don't have a set goal with that. I just have a minuscule amount of money transferred every payday to it at this point.

Wow! Four courses AND full-time work?? I'm having juuuuuuusssstt enough motivation and energy for one class and full-time work. I don't know how you do it, but good for you! Best of luck!

I'm on my final essay and our final exam is April 16 (already!!). I can't believe how fast it's gone.

Glad to hear there are no regrets about your trip. NYC is amazing, eh??

Listen! You needed a break. Sometimes we need to spend a little cash and have a whole lot of fun. Life is meant to be lived!
