I ended up buying my 7-year-old niece a set of Little Mermaid books (with CDs), a Hello Kitty puzzle and a Polly Pocket. I think she liked her gifts. Apparently she is right in to the Hannah Montana rage but I haven't seen her in so long that I didn't think about it.
