Waiting

Today I read a post from Thinking out Loud that resonated with me (to be honest, most of her posts lately have resonated with me), and in the comments was the following quote:

"Fear is created out of love by your own mind to protect you from pain.

Fear pretends to protect us from harm when it is actually robbing us of our passion for life.

Freedom doesn't mean having no fear. It means acting in spite of your fear.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

I am not sure who wrote this quote or what book the commenter found it. I just know that as soon as I read it I realized that in many ways I am waiting in fear and nothing I want is magically going to happen if I am too afraid to take a leap. Today I am taking a leap. Maybe I will feel worse, hopefully better, but at least I will feel something different. And I want to feel something different.

Holy cow! I love this quote. I am going to copy and paste it into work so I can print it off and copy it to hang somewhere very visible to me. I've been reading a book (or two) about this and this is very timely and, like for you, really resonates with me.

Thanks so much for sharing it.
