The Best Place

2009 was actually a really good year for discovering new places. The Food and Fiction book club's purpose is to read a book and discover new restaurants in Calgary. So I did discover many new places to eat that way. The gem in Calgary that I had wished I knew about earlier in life is The Purple Perk Coffee House. My friend from work took me there for coffee one afternoon and I looked in awe at the massive slabs of chocolate cake considered a piece. Its located in a trendy area of town and I felt "cool" drinking my coffee there. I can't wait to spend more Saturdays in 2010 studying, reading and connecting with friends there.
