New Food

As I mentioned, the book club I am in goes to a new restaurant every month. I have tried Ethiopian this year (which is pretty good and something I always wanted to try) as well as Moroccan. I really enjoyed the experience we had at Sultan's Tent as well as the tasty food. I have dreams of a Moroccan tour now and asking Sam to play it again. :)

I certainly miss all the varieties of food you can get in a big city. We've got a new Caribbean restaurant in town (conveniently located right across the street from work) and it's divine! A bit pricey, but then again, not something I'd do daily.

We don't have a Thai restaurant, though, and I really miss my Thai food...

We live in a world that is filled with delicious food for gastronomy lovers of various tastes. Calgary has some pretty decent places and hopefully as more individuals from around the world come to our beautiful city, they will bring their unique food cooking and introduce us to them! Diversity and multi culturism is here to stay!

The Asian Pear: It's kind of hard to describe. The first time I had the vegetarian platter. It wsa three types of lentils and you break off this spongy lemony bread to pick up the food to eat it. The second time I had a beef dish that was had a little bit of spice but you ate it the same way. the lemony bread sort of controls the flavour of everything I find. Its also a very slow eating experience. Don't expect to be in and out with in an hour or so. All of the food is cooked once you order it and you can be there for up to four hours.
